Our dedicated surgical team of board-certified surgeons and highly-trained veterinary technicians, along with leading technologies and commitment to healing, make Ethos the preeminent choice for your pet’s surgical care.
Your veterinarian may recommend a veterinary surgery consultation for a variety of orthopedic concerns such as complex fractures, hip or knee issues, and ligament injuries, among others. Our surgeons are skilled in all areas of advanced soft tissue and oncologic surgery. Many of the more complex procedures may involve the major organs (liver, lungs, kidneys, spleen, urinary system) and tumor removal. Whenever possible, minimally invasive techniques such as arthroscopic joint surgery procedures are used. Whatever the need, our board certified surgeon has the expertise to successfully handle your pet’s veterinary surgery. Every surgery suite is fully equipped with the latest surgical monitoring and anesthetic equipment.
Our veterinary surgery services and procedures include:
- General orthopedics, such as Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) for cranial cruciate ligament disease, and fracture repair, including minimally-invasive options for some fracture repair, and diagnosing and treating some joint conditions (fluoroscopy, arthroscopy)
- General soft tissue surgery such as abdominal, thoracic, cardiovascular, reproductive and urinary procedures
- Oncologic surgery, including removal of tumors of various types and locations
- Plastic, reconstructive surgery and advanced wound care
- General neurologic surgery, including spine fractures and disc ruptures
- Cesarean Section
During surgery your pet is monitored at all times using both modern equipment and experienced human observation. Warm cages, heating pads, and human companionship help make your pet comfortable during his or her time at our hospital.
What to Expect
We help diagnose and treat all manner of orthopedic and soft tissue conditions. For non-emergency situations, it all starts with an in-person consultation to help confirm a diagnosis, discuss treatment options, lay out expectations, and most of all allow you to make an educated decision about your pet’s care.
When the decision is made to have surgery, providing a safe and effective result is paramount. Every surgery suite is fully equipped with the latest surgical monitoring and anesthetic equipment, and anesthesia is prepared and monitored meticulously for the individual patient.
After surgery, your pet’s recovery from anesthesia and post-surgical treatment is managed and monitored by our experienced team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians 24-hours per day. The level of care, effort, and teamwork that is needed to maximize successful healing and minimize risks cannot be overstated and results from combined decades of experience, state-of-the-art hospital and equipment, and a commitment to unparalleled patient care, while simultaneously prioritizing you, the client. You should always feel that you are part of the process and have our time and attention.
