National Veterinary Associates Appoints Medical Leadership for NVA General Practice and Ethos Veterinary Health Businesses

Newly created senior leadership roles position NVA General Practice and Ethos Veterinary Health for the next chapter of industry leadership as distinct veterinary businesses
El Segundo, Calif., June 14, 2023 – National Veterinary Associates (“NVA”), a leading global pet care organization and community, announced the appointment of two highly accomplished veterinary practitioners to newly created senior leadership roles. Sandra Faeh, DVM, will serve as the first Chief Veterinary Officer of NVA’s General Practice (“NVA GP”) business, while Dr. Stacy Burdick, DVM, MBA, DACVIM (SAIM), has been appointed as Chief Medical Officer of Ethos Veterinary Health (“Ethos”).
These newly created roles will provide additional medical perspectives and expertise to support the recently announced formation of two distinct veterinary businesses: NVA General Practice and Ethos Veterinary Health. Drs. Faeh and Burdick, together, bring more than 40 years of experience serving as practicing clinicians and leaders within the veterinary profession.

About Dr. Sandra Faeh
Dr. Faeh earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She became Managing Veterinarian and part-owner at Elmhurst Animal Care Center, along with three small animal hospitals in the Chicago suburbs. She also served as President of the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association, President of the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association, and Vice President of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). She is currently a candidate for AVMA President-elect.
Dr. Faeh is a member of NVA’s Medical Advisory Board (MAB) and Lead Mentor and co-creator of NVA’s General Practice DVM Mentorship Program. As Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr. Faeh will work to expand access to high-quality care for all pet owners for NVA’s more than 1,000 general practice veterinary hospitals.
About Dr. Stacy Burdick
Dr. Burdick earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She then went on to complete a rotating internship and residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Interventional Radiology and Endoscopy at the Animal Medical Center (AMC) in New York. She joined the team at Red Bank Veterinary Hospitals (RBVH) in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, to open one of the few Interventional Radiology and Endoscopy services in the country at that time. Dr. Burdick expanded her role at RBVH to become Chief of Staff and pursued her MBA at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, officially completing the program in 2022.
Since 2016, Dr. Burdick has served as Clinical Advisor to Compassion-First Pet Hospitals. As Chief Medical Officer of Ethos, she will lead Ethos’ specialty and emergency teams in the advancement of cutting-edge medicine across its 145 world-class hospitals.
