Several of our hospitals have a veterinary blood bank.
Blood component therapy is frequently used for animals with traumatic injuries, toxicological illnesses, parasitic and immune-related disease, intra- and post-operatively and for a variety of other medical needs.
These blood banks provide life saving blood products for our patients and pets at other hospitals around the country.
A veterinary compounding pharmacy combines high quality, active pharmaceutical ingredients to create species-specific formulations, delivery systems and dosages of veterinary medications. Our registered pharmacists work with our specialists, and primary care veterinarians, to determine the dose and the most effective delivery system for the pet; e.g. capsule, flavored chew, suspension, solution, cream, suppository. The compounded drug will be created from the highest quality ingredients to meet each pet’s unique needs.
Physically located outside of Boston, our compounding pharmacy is the only sterile and non-sterile pharmacy dedicated to veterinary-only compounding in New England. We are currently licensed in Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

We have a passion for learning and development – not just the education of our own team – but the entire veterinary community at large. Our Learning and Development team has created VetBloom.com, an innovative online learning system. Veterinarians and technicians can keep their credentials current with interactive, RACE approved continuing education (CE) courses. The CE courses are designed to make it feel like you are live at a veterinary conference. Each course comes complete with video lectures, PowerPoint presentations, proceedings, and a built-in portal for submitting questions to the experts.
For hospitals and practices, VetBloom can be customized for team training. In addition to the continuing education content, a practice can gain ongoing access to over 75 vertically-aligned Technician Protocols, a robust reporting system and a customizable learning environment that can be tailored specifically to the needs of your hospital.
